One of our esteemed clients in the Shipbuilding industry is currently seeking a Project Management Office (PMO) Director to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Overview:
Manage PMO activities ensure building the proper project management capabilities and
developing frameworks with the aim of ensuring effective and proper implementation of
projects within the organization.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Align division goals processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives
- Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
- Define objectives identifies and evaluates trends and options chooses a course of action and evaluates outcomes.
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems and recommending system improvements.
- Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
- Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
- Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives efficiently.
- Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
- Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiate business related issues to senior management.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations planning monitoring and appraising job results.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Oversee all enterprise wide corporate transformational and strategic projects and initiatives for the organization.
- Ensure the establishment of enterprisewide project governance framework to ensure that corporate transformation projects programs and strategic initiatives are prioritized and aligned with the short and longterm goals of the organization and that enterprise resources are utilized in the most efficient manner.
- Oversee the development and implementation of methodologies for project and program management to ensure realization of planned outputs benefits and ultimately contribution to strategy objectives.
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting system to measure performance and conformity with the planned timeframes and budget.
- Follow up on capital planning and schedule planning.
- Manage the project management capabilities.
- Ensure project governance and project compliance to the organizations project management methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Management or any other similar field.
- 12 years of experience in related field including 6 years in a leadership role.
- Masters Degree in Management or any other similar field is preferred.
