Our client a Washington DCbased nonprofit seeks a dynamic HR and admin professional for a temporary role supporting a small office during maternity leave. The position requires a commitment of at least 30 hours per week in a hybrid work environment for 34 months. Ideal for a detailoriented individual passionate about HR processes and administration. Below are the general areas of support needed:
HR Generalist:
Collaborate with the HR lead on routine HR administrative tasks benefits administration leave administration tasks and payroll support.
Handle onboarding and orientation prepare employment letters and handle HRIS system transactions.
Respond to domestic and international employee inquiries.
Handle benefit billing and travel inquiries for international staff.
Manage various HR programs related to employee engagement health and safety and training.
Support broader HR projects related to policy development and employee surveys.
Administrative:
Provide limited administrative support to the CEO and COO as needed.
Address administrative and office management queries and requests promptly and efficiently.
Handle phone calls maintain equipment and supplies and organize various documents.
Collect and mail correspondence as needed.
Support offices and partners with administrative tasks legal documentation and facility maintenance.
Manage office safety protocols and building security requirements.
Qualifications:
At least three years of a proven track record in an administrative and HR support role showcasing a history of successful contributions to team efficiency and effectiveness.
Indepth understanding of HR processes and functions demonstrating the ability to navigate complexities and provide valuable insights.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail in managing diverse tasks simultaneously.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities fostering positive relationships across various levels of the organization.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Google Suite and human capital management systems (GUSTO preferred) to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
