Job Description
Summary
The Photonics team responsible for conducting research and developing photonic solutions to scale the size and control of quantum computers is seeking a photonic designer and experimentalist for their internship program. The individual in this role will help to contribute to the design and testing of photonic systems for neutralatom quantum computers.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a masters or PhD program with at least three (3) years of academicexperience.
- Strong understanding of optics and photonic integrated circuits (PICs).
- Proficiency in simulation methods such as FiniteDifference TimeDomain (FDTD) or similar.
- Experience with chip layout tools.
- Knowledge of optical design software (e.g. Zemax or similar).
- Experience with freespace optics fiber optics and integrated optics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
There is no relocation offered for this role.
