Important information:
- This position, initially, would start as a freelance collaboration, involving remote work from your home address for a full time collaboration of 40 working hours per week.
- Long-term the intention is to convert the freelance collaboration into an in-house position on a permanent contract (time frame not yet determined).
Position Summary:
TransPerfect is looking for a proactive, motivated, and performance-driven professional, capable of working inside a team and also individually. As a Copywriter, your mission will be to create/review content and to make sure the target texts meet all necessary requirements. As a Digital Project Coordinator, your mission will be to expand the company’s network of digital marketing specialists and copywriters by building strong relationships with our industry community, to manage and coordinate the completion of French language projects for key clients
Position responsibilities:
- Manage the entire life-cycle of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate all the project phases and efficiently predict the lifespan of all the stages of the project
- Screen external candidates and contacting potential resources within the digital marketing industry
- Keep yourself up to date in all the latest digital marketing trends, with the help of the Production team
- Understand and abide by individual project instructions
- Monitor and control projects status
- Manage project finances, including budgeting
- Comply with all ISO regulations, processes and procedures
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with linguists and copywriters globally
- Negotiate rates and deadlines with contract and in-house linguists, copywriters and digital marketing specialists to maximize profitability and efficiency
- Coordinate with Sales Staff to clarify and correct project parameters, educate clients regarding individual projects – potentially contacting clients directly
- Discuss issues with Sales Staff (and/or client) and creatively problem solve to alleviate issues
- Trouble-shoot problem projects and investigate client complaints
- Return final products to Sales Staff early or on-time consistently
- Write creative contents, and/or transcreate/proofread/copyedit documents
- Write copy based on a creative brief (taking any necessary digital/creative elements into account)
- Personally perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure customer sing-off of end product
- Prepare and maintain project documentation
- Help developing copywriting guidelines for different types of copy
- Help developing copywriting tests for different type of copy and reviews
- Be responsible for any errors/omissions associated to a project in which s/he is involved
- Keep up to date in creative copywriting requirements across different channels, media and new trends
- Ensure translated documents mirror the original source document
- Efficiently maintain formal disciplined operations procedures across a variety of client projects
- Track project-specific non-conformances and resolutions
- Assist with making new department processes while improving on existing ones
- Any other tasks assigned by Manager/Supervisor
Essential skills and experience required:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French (native level)
- Good communication skills in English
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a similar position in corporate environment
- Prior copywriting experience in travel, fashion and luxury industry
- Digital Marketing / Creative agency background
- Detail orientation with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Acute attention to detail, spelling and grammar
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism in all situations
- Experience coordinating assignment of resources
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
- Highly-developed computer skills (MS Office, Windows)
