M&A Manager
Location: Belgium (Brussels)
We supporting a leading Private Equity firm based in Belgium specialising in strategic investments and acquisitions across diverse sectors. With a strong track record of successful ventures our client is expanding its team and seeking a dynamic M&A Manager to contribute to their continued growth.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Lead endtoend M&A processes from deal origination to execution ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence financial modeling and valuation analyses to assess potential investment opportunities.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including legal finance and operations to drive successful deal closures.
Evaluate and present investment recommendations to senior leadership providing insights on risk and return.
Actively identify and cultivate relationships with potential targets investors and industry stakeholders.
Stay abreast of market trends competitive landscapes and regulatory developments impacting the private equity sector.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Proven track record in successfully managing and closing M&A transactions.
Track record from a top tier strategy consulting firm.
Language Skills: Proficiency in Dutch or French is essential along with excellent English language skills. Multilingual proficiency is a plus.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial modeling skills with the ability to conduct detailed financial analyses and valuations.
Communication and Presentation Skills: Effective communication and presentation abilities with experience in conveying complex information to diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of the firms investment strategies.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
Education:
Master s degree in Business Engineering Finance Business or a related field. Advanced degree / MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS Hold a master's degree in finance or auditing, with 5 to 10 years of experience in investment accounting, financial asset-related roles, or financial institution auditing (e.g., banks, insurance, investment funds). Proficient in understanding the operations of various financial products, including securities and derivatives, and knowledgeable in asset accounting based on Belgian standards, IAS39, and Solvency II. Familiarity with IFRS 9 is a plus. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access) and familiarity with SAP, POWER BI, and SAS reporting are advantageous. Demonstrated autonomy and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders effectively. Strong analytical and synthesis skills. Meticulous, with a passion for numbers in a dynamic technical environment. Language proficiency in French and/or Dutch with a good understanding of the second language, along with essential English language skills.
