Head of Quality APAC

This role will be an extension of our Global Quality Team based in Shanghai working with our APAC markets (China Korea Australia etc). The role will be reporting to Global Head of Quality located in Sweden Gothenburg.

The team is also under construction and need further recruiting.

You will work in close collaboration across global teams that dont settle for anything less than excellence. Our Quality Team works to ensure the quality & compliance in Polestar products and services throughout their lifecycle.

This position is based out of our Shanghai China Headquarters and will require 25% overnight travel throughout the APACs market.

What youll do

• Maintain the global Quality Teams perspectives and approach while ensuring the local markets needs and focus are being met.
• Setup a network with the APAC markets
• Lead the investigation process for concerns or escalations around product quality or product compliance.
• Follow up and report on quality KPIs surveys and statistics and creating a consolidated view for the APAC market.
• Manage quality escalations through all applicable teams and manage the topquality issue list in the APAC Region ensuring central priority alignment.
• Acts as a key stakeholder to assure product compliance with applicable regulations.
• Act as Polestars representative in dealing with government officials in vehicle related regulatory/compliance matters.
• Attend new product development builds when needed to represent the Quality Team perspectives.
• Act as the main point of contact for quality related queries between APAC Region & Sweden HQ
• Identify and drive continuous improvement activities by identifying gaps and weaknesses in existing processes.

Who you are

• 5 years of experience in a technical or quality focused role in the automotive industry

• Management skills generally acquired through at least 5 years of leadership experience

• General knowledge of tha automotive regulatory environment in the APAC markets.
• Ability to communicate negotiate make presentations to large groups and act as a Polestar spokesperson

• You have the ability to draw conclusions from large amounts of data and present to upper management.

• Strong interpersonal skills that illustrate you understand the needs of and how to communicate with counterparts in APAC and abroad to drive market needs and perspectives

• You understand customer expectations of our products and ensure that expectations of product and quality are exceeded
