- Developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with the Groups overall objectives.
- Overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and accounting standards.
- Leading the budgeting process providing financial projections and regularly reviewing financial forecasts to support decisionmaking and goal attainment.
- Identifying and managing financial risks faced by the Group implementing strategies to mitigate these risks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Liaising with internal audit team and support internal audit processes facilitating timely reviews and resolutions of identified issues; developing and implementing financial controls policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Engaging with shareholders analysts and investors providing financial insights and ensuring transparency and clarity in financial communications.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements corporate governance standards and Bursa Malaysias rules and guidelines.
- Collaborating with other senior executives to formulate strategic plans evaluating investment opportunities and assessing the financial impact of various business decisions; supporting the Group MD/Group CEO on any and all business expansion/diversification efforts and corporate exercises.
- Managing cash flow liquidity and financial investments to optimize returns while ensuring the availability of funds for operational needs.
- Overseeing tax planning strategies ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations and optimizing the Groups tax position.
- Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Group MD/Group CEO.
Requirements
- Certified Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA)
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience including at least 5 years in a public listed company in the capacity of a senior finance officer.
- Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills.
- Familiar with Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia.
- Experience in the construction industry is advantageous.
