AWS Architect

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design,
  develop and execute AWS cloud platform/infrastructure solutions
• Collaborating
  with the application teams for ensuring suitable translation of
  architectural solutions into robust and effective implementation by the
  platform team
• Identifying
  the application teams requirements, analyze the alternatives, and conduct solution
  recommendations related to the AWS platform, services, security and
  network configurations

· Define an AWS platform solution using architectural design
principles based on application requirements

· Provide implementation guidance to AWS platform and application
teams based on best practices throughout the lifecycle of application
hosting/migration to cloud

· Support application solution architect in creation of business
solution by recommending right AWS technology platform/infrastructure

· Support cloud migration efforts with advanced AWS cloud-based
solutions

· Contribute to technical cloud strategy

· Address high-risk issues

· Support AWS platform team in Deployment, Operations and Monitoring
of AWS platform/services including EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 storage
& others

· Support AWS platform team in monitoring and optimizing the
performance, scalability, reliability and availability of the AWS
platform/environment

· Support AWS platform team in troubleshooting and resolution of
issues with the AWS infrastructure, services

· Collaborate with AWS platform and other IT teams to ensure the
smooth operation of the overall AWS platform/environment

Essential
Skills/Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience in AWS technical architect role using
service and hosting solutions such as AWS cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms

· Hands on experience in AWS cloud native architecture design,
implementation of distributed, fault tolerant enterprise platform and
applications

· Knowledge
of current and emerging AWS cloud technologies, native/3^rd party
tools, and system architectures

· Good knowledge of all phases of AWS infrastructure and concepts
such as VPC, subnets, TGW, routing, security groups, S3, RDS, EC2, IAM,
security, encryption, replication and DR.

· Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD as well as agile tools and
processes (native and 3^rd party tools)

· Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable
Skills/Experience:

· 2+ years of experience in solution architect role using service
and hosting solutions such as AWS cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms

· Experience in workload migration to AWS cloud (Refactor,
Replatform, Repurchase, Rehost, Relocate)

· Experience in hybrid cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, on-premise)

· DevOps experience in planning, coding, building, testing and
release of services
