You can expect to contribute across the full spectrum of the Council’s work. And, in a borough the size of Pendle, you will be close to outcomes. You’ll see the impact of what you do. We expect that you will already have considerable experience in a financial management role and be a qualified accountant.

But as well as being technically accomplished, we’re also looking for someone who can align resources effectively to support our strategic objectives; who can think creatively to create additional capacity and opportunity, while always managing risk effectively.

Your advice (and when needed, challenge) will be key in aiding elected members to arrive at well-informed decisions on how to maximise finite resources for the benefit of all our communities.
