We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven individual to join our Purchasing Department in the capacity of Purchasing Coordinator. As Purchasing Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Purchasing to ensure that the entirety of purchasing that the hotel requires if carried out efficiently and cost-effective. The ideal candidate must have previous experience with procurement, inventory and supply chain management platform.
Job Objectives:
Meeting and greeting suppliers into the hotel
To ensure that the proper purchasing order procedures are in place and followed by all departments within the hotel
To carry any Accounts and Purchasing related projects as required deal with processing of inventory item invoices for payment
To assist with cost comparative research when selecting suppliers for the hotel ensuring that the most competitive and cost effective items are purchased
Continually reviewing and identifying with the Director of Purchasing areas within which it may be possible to increase revenue for the hotel
Roles & Responsibilities for Purchasing Coordinator
Be responsible for internal and external stock purchasing
Stock Management
Proactively re order stock items in line with minimum stock levels
Coordinating purchase orders
Produce weekly reports on aged stock, stock levels and values
