Job Description

Our client TKI Construction Ltd. They are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join their team in Kelowna BC. As the successful candidate your primary responsibility will be to manage the completion of assigned projects in conjunction with the Project Management team. You will assist the Project Managers with scheduling change orders progress billings site meetings meeting minutes issuing contracts and any other tasks that contribute to the successful completion of projects.


Ideally you have previous experience working on various types of commercial projects and come with a level of understanding and confidence to get the projects completed on time and on budget.


Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the estimator in the tendering process and preparation of estimates and tender submittals;
  • Support project scheduling costcoding and safety reporting;
  • Coordinate project documentation including meeting minutes change orders site instructions Shop Drawings and Drawing Log draft Progress Claims and field notices;
  • Set up and maintain project reporting procedures including cost reports project status reports and shop drawings;
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate logs (RFI submittals site instructions) track responses and advise stakeholders;
  • Establish effective onsite communications and progress reporting with subtrades and clients;
  • Prepare trade contracts with the desired scope of work for Project Manager s review;
  • Organize attend and participate in stakeholder meetings. Follow up on required action items as needed;
  • Prepare presentation materials for meetings;
  • Determine and communicate project changes;
  • Provide administrative support to the project team as needed;
  • Develop project strategies in conjunction with the project team;
  • Ensure each project adheres to the required framework and that all documentation is maintained appropriately;
  • Additional tasks as required.


Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Construction Business or related field preferred;
  • At least 3 years experience in a Project Coordinator role with experience in commercial or multifamily construction preferred;
  • Ability to read blueprints schematics field drawings and plans is considered an asset;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
  • Exceptional verbal written and presentation skills;
  • Competent in Microsoft applications including Word Excel and Outlook;
  • Familiarity with Mac computers and programs and Autodesk considered an asset;
  • Knowledge in file management transcription and other administrative procedures;
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines;
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple project stakeholders and interpret their ongoing needs;
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at once.

The salary will be aligned with experience level and we anticipate a starting salary of $70000 to $85000 per year.
