Tasks
An exciting opportunity to work as a team lead GNC solutions in an aerospace technology company. You will have the opportunity to lead a team of passionate GNC engineers and to contribute yourself in GNC design and development activities. Working with crossfunctional teams you will contribute to Research and Development of guidance and navigation control system then on their deployment on final UAV products.
Define the Control Laws and Algorithm Architecture for the onboard automation systems including Flight Controls System Navigation System.
Identifying possible failure modes and defining robust contingency Control Laws to maintain safe flight
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams system engineers mechanical electrical software to plan design develop and integrate GNC solutions into UAV.
Defining and running computer simulations for the platforms. (e.g. Matlab & Simulink).
Work Package Management of a defined scope: actively driving the project work forwards to achieve the agreed deliverables on time and to budget.
Ensuring integration of the GNC algorithms with the embedded system and executing validation testing.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Postgraduate degree in one of the following: GNC Engineering Mechatronics Engineering Software Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 3 years industry or postgraduate experience in GNC Engineering
- Strong applied math foundations; ability to derive algorithms related to guidance navigation and control (GNC)
- Experience in linear and nonlinear feedback control system design
- Experience with Kalman filtering
- Experience with sensor fusion algorithms
- Experience with simulation development
- Experience in C development for embedded systems
- Experience with version control systems like Git enabling effective collaboration and code management.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
- Good communication skills enabling effective collaboration and being able to manage a teams of 23 GNC engineers .
- Fluent English Speaker
