As a Functional Skills Tutor youll guide learners towards achieving qualifications in Adult Skills making a real impact on their career and life prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach and assess Maths and English at our centres across Lancashire including Morecambe Preston Blackpool and Blackburn (with travel expenses covered).

Deliver engaging and accredited Functional Skills courses in English and Maths catering to learners aiming to enhance their employability or pursue higher education.

Plan lessons effectively ensuring they cater to individual learner needs. Your teaching coaching and assessment skills will be vital in guiding learners on their educational journey.

Regularly review and assess learner progress and ensure all teaching learning and assessment activities are completed to the highest standards.

Provide training motivation mentorship and support helping learners develop personally and socially.

Administrative & Strategy:

Accurately maintain learner records and ensure compliance with audit and quality standards.

Actively engage in professional development and networking to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Coaching & Collaborating:

Undertake detailed reviews with learners to track and support their progress.

Monitor learners progression and provide innovative effective teaching and learning strategies.

Training & Compliance:

Promote and adhere to all relevant statutory responsibilities including Health and Safety Safeguarding and Prevent policies.

The Ideal Candidate:

Holds an Assessor Qualification or is willing to work towards one.

Possesses Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths English and ICT.

Experienced in delivering vocational qualifications using digital platforms.

Holds a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE PTLLS).

Additional Information:

Fulltime role with a 37.5hour work week.
