Overview
The Wealth Advisor will be the principal point of contact with clients and handles maintaining the ongoing relationships. This individual will have a broad understanding of wealth management practices and investment strategies with the ideal candidate having proven financial planning experience.
Responsibilities
- Ability to establish client investment objectives including risk tolerance asset allocation and cash requirements
- Work with the Investment team to identify and implement an appropriate investment strategy for each client based on their goals objectives and risk tolerance.
- Work with clients to develop individual investment objectives
- Monitor investment performance versus benchmarks and develops insights for clients regarding key contributors and detractors
- Monitor client accounts on a quarterly basis relative to policy and goals
- Reviews portfolio issues (i.e. taxes liquidity events etc.) quarterly
- Manage investment transition for new clients
- Communicate and collaborates with the Investment Team regarding investment strategy and client portfolio structure
- Provide recommendations to individuals and families enabling them to fulfill their financial goals
- Identify insurance needs for clients and assess proper solutions
- Work with investment team as needed for client proposals assessing risk tolerance and identifying appropriate investment strategies
- A firm resource to develop financial plans as needed
- Develop a knowledge of the client s entire financial and family situation and be able to structure investment and financial plans
- Ability to discuss estate planning and work with internal and external resources to meet the estate planning goals of the client
- Direct consultation with attorneys and accountants on financial tax and estate planning
- Client meeting planning facilitation and presentation
- May be assigned to larger and more complex books of business
- Compliance with all industry rules and regulations and firm policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience within financial services wealth management preferred
- Strong organization and communication skills
- CFP required
- Competence with industry software to include CRM Portfolio Management system MS Office custodial platform
