We are a growing team looking for a (Senior) Consultant to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. You would join our Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) in the Berlin HQ office.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The M&A team is in charge of devising, driving and implementing the M&A roll-up strategy to build the next European road freight forwarder leader. As an M&A Consultant, you will be responsible for the full sourcing lifecycle (i.e., identify, analyze, and evaluate potential M&A and other investment opportunities) to push our growth further.

You will be part of a team directly working with sennder s founders and management. Your daily tasks will include but are not limited to, building and managing the deal funnel, by liaising with internal stakeholders, developing relationships with M&A advisors, identifying new and creative sourcing channels, assessing targets fit, incl. building preliminary synergy cases, and directly interface with Managing Directors/owners of targets during the sourcing process. In the past, we led projects such as the acquisitions of C&C, Everoad as well as Uber Freight.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Generate deal flow by working with sennder senior stakeholders and external M&A advisors, building your own network, and other creative ways to make sure we get access to interesting opportunities.
  • Actively manage the deal funnel, incl. assessing deal flow (e.g., preparing well-structured company analysis and profiles) to support go/no-go decisions at different stages of the deal for the management team.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve internal processes for an aligned and structured approach to M&A sourcing.
  • Support the conversations with Managing Directors/owners of targets during the sourcing phase, to pitch sennder and the opportunity to join sennder s network.
  • Autonomously drive projects from their design stage to release, instructing, and managing junior team member(s).

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE

  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting with a focus on PE / CD.
  • Prior experience in M&A deal sourcing and valuation.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, structured way of thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive self-starter mentality with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in working under pressure within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions despite ambiguity
  • A Bachelor degree and excellent English skills.
