Job Description



For our Client a Modern style Mexican Restaurant & Bar located in Mykonos, Greece we are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to join the
The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen and creating delicious and authentic Mexican dishes for our The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of traditional and modern Mexican cuisine, as well as South American cuisine, especially Peru and

  • Create menus that combine authentic and modern Mexican flavors and feature unique and exceptional marinades from native Mexican chefs
  • Oversee the kitchen staff and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
  • Manage food and labor costs and ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff and ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and menu items
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and organized at all times
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude and lead by example


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a Mexican restaurant, with a minimum of 3-5 years experience
  • Excellent knowledge of traditional and modern Mexican cuisine, as well as South American cuisine
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
  • Ability to manage food and labor costs and ensure that the kitchen operates efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with management to develop new dishes and menu items
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Creative and innovative approach to cooking, with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and ingredients
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Availability to work seasonally from 01/05/2023 until 30/10/2023 or Permanent based in Athens, Greece after the season
  • EU passport or based in Europe Candidates will have an advantage
