Job Description
The Center for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth (Singapore) Ltd. (CSP Singapore) is a nonprofit in Singapore that is strategically focused on advancing social and environmental sustainable development through the mechanism of sustainable finance with a unique focus on the private wealth space.
CSP Singapore developed from the CSP at the University of Zurich an academic research and teaching institution that has a distinctive edge in training wealth owners and investment professionals based on practice and science to mobilize large amounts of capital toward impact.
CSP at University of Zurich itself is a spinoff from the Impact Investing for the Next Generation program launched in 2015 at the Initiative for Responsible Investment at Harvard Kennedy School and that is now run jointly with MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative.
A third CSP entity exists with the CSP North America 501c3 charity in San Francisco.
The global CSP platform is therefore deeply integrated in the impactfocused private wealth community around the world. This includes deep partnerships with key investor networks such as Toniic and The Impact and the key groups at leading universities ranging from Harvard University to MIT and University of Zurich.

As managing director of a fast growing entity that has a unique and highly valuable position in an industry experiencing rapid transformation globally you will be playing an integral role in shaping the development of the Asian sustainable finance ecosystem.
You will have the opportunity to lead an interdisciplinary team facilitate regional and international collaboration across different sectors exercise thoughtleadership to influence actors at the highest level and steer significant capital towards impact.
Tasks
Leadership and Strategy
Develop and execute a strategic vision to elevate CSP Singapores position within the sustainable finance industry aligned with the global CSP vision and strategy.
Lead motivate and develop a highperforming team fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and excellence.
Management
- Strategically plan coordinate and implement research and training programs in collaboration with the CSP Zurich and CSP North America teams and global partners.
- Develop and own the strategy implementation in conjunction with the Steering Committee and the Global Advisory Board.
- Oversee cost centers to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines and financial objectives for CSP Singapore.
- Ensure the preparation of accurate financial reports and documents in strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Address national and international coordination issues for CSP Singapore.
- Represent CSP Singapore locally and globally.
Business Development
- Cultivate relationships with clients such as corporates and ultrahighnetwealth individuals ensuring the delivery of quality training programs research projects and feepaying services.
- Develop and implement fundraising plans with customized strategies to engage donors and grantmakers and ensure accountability through monitoring and reporting on program progress.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish and maintain contacts with the financial industry cooperating with representatives and leading interdisciplinary collaborations with stakeholders.
- Actively serve as a spokesperson representing CSP Singapore to its constituency potential donors and supporters.
- Cultivate relationships with leading media partners to position CSP Singapore as a thought leader in sustainable finance and private wealth.
- Advocate for best practices through regional and international outreach activities at the highest levels of research practice and politics.
Requirements
- Singapore Citizen/Permanent Resident
- University degree in Economics Finance International Development or a related field.
- Proven trackrecord in leading and scaling highperformance teams within a dynamic and growing environment.
- Senior multiyear experience in sustainable finance and/or private wealth.
- Proven entrepreneurial drive demonstrating the capability to develop and implement growth strategies and drive business development initiatives.
- Exceptional selfleadership and organizational skills with a proven trackrecord in personal and professional growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills facilitating collaboration with subject matter experts across different disciplines on a global scale.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral) are essential; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
- High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
- Trustworthiness in handling confidential data.
