The Role

Gravita is seeking an exceptional datadriven professional for the role of Data Analyst. The incumbent will play a crucial role in the data management team gleaning insights from data to inform strategic decisions improving our operations and helping us better serve our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

    Data Monitoring and Maintenance:

    • Monitor and maintain critical data in finance and other departments ensuring structured organization for performance reporting. This includes management accounts headcount proformas budget and forecast files.

    Power BI Development:

    • Build queries and connect to data sources in the data warehouse for Power BI report development. Create visually appealing representations using graphs/tables in Excel for easy data interpretation.

    Process Improvement and Efficiency:

    • Identify innovative ways to enhance reporting processes speeding up the time required for generating reports. Review transactional data to identify and correct errors not initially recognized by the management accounts team.

    Stakeholder Communication:

    • Communicate with stakeholders to grasp data content and business requirements. Generate reports for service line/department heads offering detailed explanations of key variances.

    Ad Hoc Analysis and Data Transformation:

    • Produce ad hoc analyses in Excel as needed. Establish relationships between different data sources implementing transformation rules to efficiently clean up raw data from the Finance System (Business Central) and automate repetitive processes.

To succeed in this role you will likely have:
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field such as maths statistics or computer science
  • Ability to interpret and write analytical SQL2 and dashboard creation using Power BI including advanced excel
  • Ideally studying for ACCA or similar qualification
  • Ideally prior experience in a PE environment
  • Taking a data driven approach to everything;
  • A real aptitude for working with numbers;
  • Excellent ability to make informed decisions; and
  • Confident communication and presentation skills.

    The Nitty Gritty

    • Our standard working week is a 37.5hour week on a hybrid basis (with up to 50% of your time across the month home based and the other 50% office based)
    • Core working hours are 10am 4pm Monday to Friday
