About the role

The Senior Finance Analyst holds a pivotal role ensuring streamlined transaction processing and continual improvement of financial control and management information systems and procedures.

What does success in this role look like

Efficient transaction processing encompassing O2C GL etc.

Preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.

Maintenance of robust accounting systems and control.

Handling payroll statutory remittances tax compliance and other regulatory obligations.

Initiating efficiency improvements and cost reduction strategies.

Establishing and maintaining controls over accounting transactions and balances.

Organizing an orderly accounting filing system.

Documenting and maintaining complete and accurate supporting information for financial transactions.

Ensuring statutory returns are filed and corresponding payments are made.

Managing yearend audits and periodic regulatory reviews.

Ensuring company registration with all statutory bodies.

Developing controls and budget management strategies.

Liaising with tax consultants managing and providing advisory on taxation and regulations.

Developing implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Coordinating with the Group in deploying SAP ERP.

Managing tax audits and investigations.

To thrive in this role what should have you done at some point in your career

Proven experience in Accounting/Financial Management.

Strong/Working knowledge of Accounting Standards/IFRS.

Experience with Accounting Systems/ERP particularly Sage or SAP.

Solid understanding of budgeting planning.

Good people management skills and strong reporting skills.

Proven business management experience in an unstructured and fastpaced environment.

Resultsoriented approach to work; willingness to do whatever it takes to help the team.

Ability to identify and implement efficiencies and process improvements.

Knowledge of economic and accounting principles financial markets banking and analysis and reporting of financial data.

Understanding the extended enterprise and an appreciation for value creation based on the overall vision for the business.

A Masters degree in Business or equivalent is an added advantage.

Professional/Chartered Accountant certification (required).

Minimum of 3 years of Finance and accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

Extensive experience in financial reporting and budgeting.

Experience working in a matrix extremely dynamic fastpaced resultsoriented multicountry environment and prioritization.
