Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated MetOcean Specialist to join the Corios rapidly growing offshore wind business and support the transition to a low carbon sustainable global economy.

Corio was developed under the Green Investment Group and remains a subsidiary of Macquarie Group (Australias largest investment bank) so we have strong financial support to drive the business forward.

Responsibilities:

The Engineering Department is looking for a Wind and Metocean Measurement Engineer / MetOcean Specialist (Measurement) to be Corio Generations technical authority for wind and MetOcean measurement across our global portfolio of offshore wind projects. You will be part of a group of experienced and talented offshore wind professionals in Corio Generations Engineering team. The core responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Development and oversight of the Corios wind and metocean survey strategy including baseline budget and programme across our Global portfolio.
  • Provision of detailed work scope technical input and guidance to the tendering and contracting process and supplier evaluation for project specific surveys throughout the project lifecycle
  • Management of wind and metocean surveys including the contractor interface HSE licencing and permits planning and execution of offshore works vessel suitability and project documentation and incoming data
  • HSE ownership
  • Providing contractual oversight management of LDs claims variations and invoicing
  • Oversee and supervise project specific resources coordinating measurement campaigns such as external contractors/secondees consultants suppliers marine contractors and others.
  • Maintaining regular reporting to the project with regards to survey progress
  • Review of survey data deliverables data availability and assessment of contractor Key Performance Indicators
  • Acting as client representative for onsite works and contributing to SimOps planning
  • Collating and disseminating lessons learned
  • Interfacing with the supply chain to gain understanding and insight into upcoming technological opportunities


Requirements:

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in offshore wind covering the responsibilities described above.
  • Minimum a bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Technical and project management skills.
  • Experience in delivering complex technical scopes as part of large EPC projects in either development or construction.
  • Experience with working and delivering results in a matrix organisation developing largescale projects globally.
  • Experience in sensor technology including LiDAR.
  • Strong communicator and comfortable working with little structure and oversight.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
