Responsible for managing the strategic delivery of digital marketing and customer experience our Client is also working to create growth opportunities within the Ecommerce platform of each of the six national brands.
The Opportunity
Based out of our Client's head office in Winnipeg MB the Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for successfully executing the Social Media and Customer Community Communication strategies acting as the Brand Voice across all Social channels and online communities for a Canadian unisex apparel brand. Reporting directly into the Brand & Creative Services Director the successful candidate will be equal parts creative and datadriven with exceptional organization writing skills and attention to detail.
Required Experience and Qualifications
- 3 years of demonstrated handson experience in Social Media and Online Marketing role
- Strong preference to those who have leadership experience in a comparable role for Omnichannel business
- PostSecondary Education in Marketing Communications or a related field
- Proven ability to manage a presence on Social networking sites including Facebook Instagram Pinterest Twitter TikTok LinkedIn etc.
- Excellent copywriting skills; strong written and verbal communication. A natural storyteller able to mix words and images to make compelling content.
- Passion for Social Media including knowledge of Social Media analytics tools Google Analytics and Excel / Google Spreadsheets
- Strong visual sensibility. The ability to design/execute digital content (graphic design photography video) would be a significant asset.
- Must be a motivated selfstarter with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills attention to detail and ability to multitask and shift between projects on a timesensitive basis
- Selfdirected active interest in ongoing learning and development to stay up to date with best practices and what makes content successful in today's Social Media world
- Public relations and blogging experience is an asset
- A flexible daytoday availability will be required along with the ability to travel as required (minimal)
Responsibilities of the Position
STRATEGY
- Execute Social Media plans that are aligned with Brand and Business objectives which deliver increased user engagement and Customer acquisition
- Drive Social Media reach and engagement in current and new channels including Facebook Pinterest Instagram and TikTok.
- Stay current and uptodate on everchanging platform capabilities and growth opportunities sharing best practices with the team when applicable.
- Develop and execute affiliate Marketing programs that are relevant to the Brand
- Monitor industry trends and activities of competitors throughout Social Media and inform management of competitive landscape opportunities and threats
CONTENT DEVELOPMENT & STRATEGIC DELIVERY
- Ability to communicate product value through written and edited stories/messages
- Create and edit video content that is both engaging and onBrand
- Develop and promote content for all Social Media platforms mapping out the content strategy and
timeline and ensuring consistency in voice across all platforms
CROSSFUNCTION TEAM COLLABORATION
- Collaborate with Marketing Buying Ecommerce and Customer Service departments within the Brand on Social Media messaging programs and implementation.
- Support overall Brand initiatives with a solid Social component that resonates with our target audience and grows our overall engagement with them
- Work with external vendors influencers and agencies to ensure projects are handled promptly and completed to Brand standards on time and on budget.
PLATFORM MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
- Monitor listen and respond to Customer inquiries through Social Media and Community touchpoints ensuring excellent Customer service and consistent Brand experience escalating when required.
- Communicate with followers and respond to comments promptly
- Coordinate/host blogger and Social Media events
- Manage and regularly report on Social Media and Community growth efforts and campaigns including budget and performance metrics
- Share best practices and promote learning with crossfunctional teams regularly.
