Job Description

• Inspects items, as to quality and quantity, against freight documents. • Opens, timestamps, separates, and distributes or store. • Counts, weighs, and measures goods received or issued. • Ensures that all incoming and outgoing goods are supported by properly authorized documents such as Receiving Records and Requisitions. • Stocks materials according to a prescribed inventory system. • Responsible for maintaining the perpetual inventory records and daily summary of all purchases and issues from each of the hotel/building storerooms. • Participates in periodic physical inventories by counting stock. • Account for any discrepancy in physical inventories with book figures and advise the immediate supervisor. • Implements proper controls in maintaining security of store areas at all times. • Ensures that adequate stocks of all articles are kept and responsible for the timely raising of Purchase Requisitions. • Monitors expiry dates of stocks and ensures that all goods are used prior to their expiry date. Ensure that all goods without expiry date are strictly issued on a First-In- First-Out basis. • Maintain proper procedures and methods such as record, keeping, stock maintenance and issuing, may enter data and edit stock orders in a computerized inventory system, if available. • Performs any related work tasks as assigned by his Supervisor. • Hold and keep secure all keys used to access store rooms and back of the house area. • Must have knowledge and experience in storekeeping practices. • Knowledge in basic bookkeeping • Must have good attention to details. • Must have good physical stamina to lift and handle goods and supplies. Technical/ Skills• Competent Oral and Written English Communication Skills • Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations. • Ability to follow instructions.
