Job Description

A medical technology company in Berlin is seeking a junior Desktop Support Technician (13 years of professional experience) for their IT Help Desk responsible for 1st and 2nd line support. This fulltime permanent role requires a mix of inoffice and remote work. The company emphasizes employee growth and invests in training including Microsoft qualifications. The successful candidate will address general IT issues for 150 users across three offices offering a combination of deskside and remote support. Fluency in German and strong English is required in order to service erman and Englishspeaking colleagues. The role involves troubleshooting fixing hardware issues setting up new employees and covering three sites in Germany.

Tasks

The User Services Technician will troubleshoot problems fix laptops and desktops and provide both deskside and remote support. Responsibilities include setting up new employees covering multiple sites and participating in oncall rotations outside business hours. The role involves supporting over 150 users requiring proficiency in Windows 10/11 Apple OS (desirable) Microsoft Office/Office 365 mobile device support (preferably iOS) networking principles and Active Directory. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and be willing to travel within and outside the country.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Help Desk support preferred; recent Ausbildung candidates are encouraged to apply!
  • Windows 10/11 experience
  • Apple OS support (desirable)
  • Microsoft Office/Office 365 administration
  • Mobile device support preferably iOS
  • Knowledge of laptop and printer hardware
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting client WiFi issues
  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
  • Familiarity with desktop support tools
  • Ability to triage troubleshoot and resolve PC/Network problems
  • Excellent communication and telephone support skills
  • ServiceNow experience (preferred but not required)
  • Documentation and knowledge base experience
  • Ability to work on complex assignments demonstrating judgment
  • Microsoft certification (desirable but not essential)
  • Ability to travel in and out of the country
  • Fluent in both German (native or professional level) and strong English
