Sr Manager Development Design

Our client is a fastgrowing real estate investment company that develops constructs and manages commercial and residential real estate projects in Toronto. They are looking for a development manager with experience bringing highrise projects from idea to market. This person will be a key part of their dynamic team leading projects at different stages of development but especially guiding mid and highrise projects through the critical preconstruction phase from entitlement to the launch of sales and through to the issue of a building permit.

The Senior Manager Development & Design will be involved with all aspects of real estate development including zoning applications design development sales & marketing and permit issuance.

As a Senior Manager Development you will:

• Be the main leader to progress the project from zoning approval to launch of sales/start of construction.
  
• Prepare monitor and update the project schedule and budget throughout the design development process.
  
• Coordinate the SPA submission process.
  
• Coordinate Sales and Marketing consultants through the design development process.
  
• Coordinate design consultants (Architect Interior Design Landscape Architect) through design development. Specifically the progression of the amenity program suite mix and design to be ready for sales launch.
  
• Coordinate design consultants (Architect Structural M&E) for cross coordination.
  
• Coordinate with the Construction Team through the design development process to identify and evaluate value engineering opportunities.
  
• Upon progression of sales coordinate the working drawings process.
  
• Coordinate the building permit process.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in real estate development preferably highrise projects.
  
• Engineering architecture or other similar degree.
  
• Entrepreneurial drive and ability to work independently.
  
• Strong sales knowledge primarily for condo/highrise is preferred.
