Audio DSP Expert Spatial Audio Engineer

Audio DSP Expert (Spatial Audio) Engineer Responsibilities:

Design develop optimize and test DSP and MLbased algorithms and endtoend integrated audio processing pipelines (e.g. for applications such as spatial audio microphone array processing and others)

Design develop optimize and test realtime DSP and MLbased audio processing components (e.g. spatialization beamforming adaptive control and others)

Implement audio signal processing algorithms in MATLAB/Python/CC

Collaborate with teams across Samsung to develop requirements and specifications for developing audio processing systems

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field with audio signal processing as the research topic

OR Masters degree in a relevant field such as computer science electrical engineering digital audio acoustics and 5 years of industry experience in realtime audio signal processing or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required: 5 years of programming experience in MATLAB/Python/C C

Required: Solid understanding of DSP fundamentals and the experience to apply the concepts to realtime system design

Required: Experience of designing stateoftheart audio signal processing algorithms for different audio applications (e.g. microphone array processing spatial audio rendering active noise cancellation echo cancellation for audio/speech noise suppression for audio/speech multiband compression adaptive filtering beamforming audio coding sound source/speech separation/enhancement etc.)

Desirable: Experience of applying ML to audio processing problems and building software architectures for signal processing systems

Desirable: Experience in designing audio algorithms for consumer devices
