Job Description

As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages to employees. You will work closely with various departments to gather necessary information maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  1. Payroll Processing:

    • Collect and verify timekeeping information.
    • Calculate and process employee salaries wages bonuses and other compensation.
    • Ensure accuracy in deductions withholdings and benefits calculations.
  2. Data Maintenance:

    • Maintain accurate employee records in the payroll system.
    • Update employee information such as changes in tax withholdings deductions and direct deposit details.
    • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.
  3. Compliance:

    • Stay uptodate with relevant tax laws and labour regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with local state and federal payroll tax requirements.
    • Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies.
  4. Communication:

    • Address employee inquiries related to payroll matters.
    • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
    • Provide accurate payroll information to management for budgeting and financial reporting.
  5. Recordkeeping:

    • Maintain organized and uptodate payroll records.
    • Prepare and maintain reports related to payroll activities.
  6. Systems Management:

    • Utilize and manage payroll software to process payments efficiently.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred.
  • AAT qualified or CIPP ACCA
  • Previous experience in payroll processing or a related role.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws regulations and best practices.
  • Proficient in using payroll software and MS Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
