EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelors Degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years postrelated experience. Or exceptionally the lack of a university degree may be compensated by at least 6 years progressive expertise in the duties related
Experience supporting core enterprise services such as:
System Administration on a large computer network
Windows & Linux Operating Systems
Active Directory & Group Policy Management
Virtualisation of servers and desktops
Use of scripting to automate tasks
Large scale system management tools such as SCCM (System Centre Configuration Manager)
Experience leading technical teams and managing projects
Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques
Knowledge and experience with ITIL Problem Management
DUTIES/ROLE:
Accomplish system administrator duties for NU NR and NS CIS systems in the CSU AOR
Accomplish server/client hardware and software troubleshooting actions
Maintain and update VMware Virtual Environment
Analyze and implement Microsoft Active Directory changes to meet user or operational requirements
Analyze and update Microsoft & Linux policies for system optimization and security
Implement and test new software versions and patches
Write PowerShell commands and scripts to automate system administration tasks
Provide assistance with fault resolution and document actions in accordance with Incident Management procedures
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for routine system administration duties
Follows EMSEC and Cyber Security policies/standards
Provides status updates for assigned requests using ITSM Service Desk Software
Followsup with users on completed requests prior to closing
Provide collaboration and assistance to other work sections within Service Operations Branch in support of mission requirements
Support HQ SACT transformation mission with subject matter expertise on computer security domain architecture virtualisation and other relevant topics
Lead the ITIL Problem Management process and contribute to Incident Management Change Management and Continuous Service Improvement
Develop and maintain Disaster Response Plans (DRPs) for assigned systems. Test and execute these plans in accordance with the overarching CSU DRP
Can support physical task requirements with the ability to lift up to 25 lbs
