Requirements

• Provide enterprise architecture design, engineering, security, operations and implementation design for cloud based applications including the migration and maintenance of PostGres SQL databases in a cloud environment (IaaS).
  
• DBA who is capable of supporting HA (high available) Postgres environments.
  
• Familiar with EDB is a plus used as our high availability solution for Postgres.
  
• Individual should understand the ins and outs of database physical and logical replications, clustering, mirroring, and high availability.
  
• We also expect the DBA to be able to troubleshoot urgent production issues quickly and effectively.
  
• The DBA will focus on Postgres optimization, efficiency, durability, and 24/7 availability. EDB Postgres implementation is a must.
  
• The DBA should have experience with Microsoft Azure and running Postgres in the cloud.
  
• Experience with DevOps engineering and process automation.
  
• Experience running and creating SQL Server health assessments reports/SQL Server.
  
• Develop Operation Manual for the above to train and educate to Azure Platform team and application team to support future Azure Database daily activities.
  

• Full stack Java developer with at least 4 years of hands on experience in Core Java and 1+ years experience in VueJs.
  
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as PostgreSQL database administrator.
  
• Ability to maintain deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
  
• Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups.
  
• Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
  
• Familiarity with ITIL or another IT service management framework.
  
• Clear understanding of MSSQL Database architecture.
  
• Current SQL and/or Azure Enterprise Certified Admin certification a plus.
  
• Proven experience with managing Azure PaaS databases and services like Redis, Service Bus, PostgreSQL MI.
  
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL required.
  
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
  
• Excellent communication skills are a must for this role as that person will be working with multiple stakeholders.
