Program Manager Business Carve Out

Lightspeed DMS develops implements and supports innovative Dealer Management Software and data solutions that help increase lasting profitability across dealership operations for the Powersports Marine Marina and RV industries We help dealers automate nonrevenue generating activities track operations and improve profits by assisting dealers in managing their Parts Service Sales Storage Marina Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Rental Our solutions are designed to help manage dealer operations by tracking and storing data from every department and delivering information that will assist dealerships in making successful business decisions The dealer management solutions provided by Lightspeed help the separate departments in a dealership function smoothly together by creating a central data warehouse for inventory levels ordering services and customer information

Lightspeed DMS was previously a division within CDK Global CDK Global was recently acquired by Brookfield Asset Management Brookfield Asset Management would like to separate Lightspeed DMS from CDK This Program Manager role will be embedded within Lightspeed DMS and will support crossfunctionally across Lightspeed DMS CDK and Brookfield to manage and drive all parts of the separation including business process technology and system implementations (such as ERP)

Position Summary

The Program Manager Business Carve Out is the continuous improvement leader supporting in the carveout of Lightspeed from CDK Global This leader defines and manages the timely completion of carveout related projects Projects will be crossfunctional in nature and will be focused on ensuring all dependencies are met timelines are adhered to and clear project execution occurs across the carveout deliverables Projects will include an ERP implementation IT carveout facilities separation and other ad hoc carveoutrelated projects This individual should demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills to achieve goals without direct control over resources Works independently and exercises sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain results

Position Responsibilities & Essential function

  • Project manage multiple simultaneous carve out related projects and ensure actions are documented and followed through on Work between rd party vendors CDK Brookfield and Lightspeed to ensure all parties are properly communicated with and aligned on decisions
  • Ensure timelines are defined and met for all key projects
  • Establish and manage regular project status meetings with key stakeholders
  • Promotes problem solving culture by facilitating crossfunctional strategy sessions including process mapping
  • Utilizes DMAIC (Define Measure Analyze Implement Control) methods to improve business processes
  • Acts as a Sr Technology Project Manager using the best project management principles this leader synchronizes portfolio planning scoping and execution processes to deliver continuous improvement projects ontime and within budget to committed roadmaps and performance KPIs
  • Identify project goals scope resources budget dependencies risks and communications needs
  • Identify escalate and resolve conflicts
  • Implement large crossteam multiyear programs and projects
  • Proactively identify opportunities and contribute to continuous business process improvement efforts to help streamline and standardize workflow communication and resource efficiencies
  • Conducts initiation and project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance and handover documentation and complete a postimplementation review to identify areas of improvement
  • Communicate portfolio scope roadmap alignment priorities and status to governance board and stakeholders
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends business conditions and internal processes and practices to influence the success of portfolio initiatives
  • Required Qualifications

  • Project Management or Agile Certification (PMP PMIACP SAFe CSP)
  • Lean/Six Sigma or DMAIC Certification a plus
  • Experience with process design
  • Experience with system implementation ERP system implementation experience a plus
  • Experience working in the software industry
  • Strong understanding of technology stack and product lifecycle
  • Experience in collaborating across business/product lines and organizational groups
  • Education/Experience

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Business or Engineering
    • years of experience in managing technical programs projects and priorities
    • years experience leading and mentoring project management resources
    • Understanding of project management tools such as JIRA Confluence Microsoft Office Visio etc
    • Strong problemsolving skills technical aptitude and ability to think and act creatively and strategically
    • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communications with a strong aptitude for presenting thoughts and ideas to senior stakeholders
    • Excellent analysis problemsolving conflict management and time management skills
    • Strong estimation scheduling budget and resource allocation skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and persuade key decisionmakers
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong aptitude for presenting succinctly
    • Excellent ability to set clear expectations manage team performance and build high morale among team members
    • Some travel may be required
