Job Description
For this Senior Management Accountant position, you will oversee both the management accounts and be at the core of consolidating and reporting the financial performance.
As a fast-growing ICP, operating nationwide they are specialists in connecting businesses to the electricity grid at scale. They are buzzing with opportunity and very much part of the shift to net zero. Perhaps it would be a good time to join their team ?
Some of the key responsibilities for this successful person would be but no limited to:
- Reporting into the Head of Operations, this is a key role in supporting their Operations and Project Management teams
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts with analysis
- Preparation of Draft Annual Financial Accounts and liaise with External Accountants to ensure smooth and timely completion
- Preparation of Annual R&D Tax claim
- Submission of UK Vat Returns to HMRC
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements
- Deliver monthly financial reports and projected forecasts.
- Manage supplier payments
- Maintain budgeting and forecasting
- Oversee cash flow and project budgets.
- Maintaining sales, profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
- Ensuring order books are accurate and updated
- Allocation of labour costs to projects
- Management of Asset list and ensuring the values are accurately tracked and deprecated on our Accounting system
Requirements
The successful Senior Management Accountant will be/have:
- Qualified Accountant - (ACCA/FCCA)
- Must understand FRS102 section 23 accounting procedures
- Research & Development claims experience
- Previous experience of working within Accounting in the Construction/Utilities industry
- Previously dealt with CIS, financial project accruals and final forecast margin would be an advantage
- Research & Development claim experience would also be advantageous
- Experience of working with Xero/Sage, MS proficient
- Experience of project accounting in projects over 2m and 2 years
- Confident, ambitious and financially astute
- Previous experience of Asset Value claims advantageous but not essential
- R&D knowledge and preparation.
- Ability to work within a fast paced environment
