Job Description

MasterStart is looking for a technically rock solid devOps engineer with good experience to join our company The ideal candidate will be working with our CTO on some exciting new technologies pushing some of the boundaries of the technology along the way
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and improve existing cloud platform and Infrastructure as Code
- Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Implement monitoring tools in order to grow platform observability
- Monitor services and systems within our infrastructure
- Continuously improve system performance and scalability
- Find ways to improve system security
- Review code providing valuable improvements for the team
- Design systemlevel code and deliver significant teamlevel projects
- Write and execute unit test plans
- Investigate and resolve defects
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- years in a similar devOps/platform developer role
- Solid experience working with and maintaining Docker and Kubernetes systems
- Knowledge and understanding of networking databases data structures algorithms cloud computing security code design distributed systems and testing
- Understand how to build solutions at scale without increasing technical debt
- Experience working with monitoring tools (prometheus grafana datadog)
- Experience with web caching systems (varnish memcached)
- Proven experience administering and maintaining web infrastructure including web servers databases cache stores queues etc
- Solid experience working in a cloud environment (GCP advantageous)
- Indepth understanding of coding best practices system scalability security and performance tuning
- Solid experience in Relational Database Systems (MySQL)
- Solid experience in issue tracking systems (Jira advantageous)
- Solid experience with version control systems (Git advantageous)
- Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
