Job Description

Job Title: Business analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Position Type: Full Time

Business analyst

Need strong candidates in Business analyst with some data analytics knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a corporate or IT environment.
  • Proficiency in business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) are advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Elicitation and Analysis:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, objectives, and constraints.

Analyze and prioritize requirements to determine their impact on business processes and technology solutions.

Process Improvement:

Evaluate and optimize existing business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.

Recommend and implement process improvements and best practices.

Solution Design and Evaluation:

Work closely with the development and technology teams to design and evaluate potential solutions to meet business requirements.

Define and document system specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Data Analysis:

Perform data analysis to understand trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making.

Develop data models, reports, and dashboards to support business objectives.

Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technology teams to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.

Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

Define test scenarios, cases, and plans to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.

Participate in testing activities and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).

Change Management and Training:

Support change management efforts by assisting in the development of training materials and providing end-user training.

Ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

Documentation and Reporting:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.

Generate reports and updates to track project status and performance.
