Overview
We are looking for a talented technical support representative to join our dedicated team and provide exceptional customer support that helps make customers lives easier
You will be supporting homebased end users with their Mac and PC computers Chrome OS android and iOS devices printers headsets webcams etc without much supervision and training
This job also requires representatives to present starting prices before services are rendered as well as offer customers support plans and packages after their fix Ideal candidates must find themselves sales competent and confident enough to cover prices and packages with their customers before the services are rendered as well as comfortable and confident with upselling customers after their fix to extended service and support plans
Job Responsibilities
Provide daily support to homebased users of various computer systems including answering questions analyzing problems and quickly forming solutions to return systems to proper operation
Communicate clearly and effectively with end users colleagues and management to resolve issues quickly and ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain detailed records of daily interactions with customers installation activities reported issues and completed solutions along with any further actions required of management or repair personnel
Increase personal technical knowledge by reading articles operating manuals and diagnostics information and attending conferences or seminars when possible
Develop training manuals and troubleshooting procedures to help both support personnel and end users interact properly with hardware and software
Collaborate with staff and clients to establish goals and objectives for system improvements and upgrades
Create and implement new processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction while reducing costs
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required
*Previous experience working with customers over the phone and guiding them through stepbystep instructions to resolve a broad range of ITrelated issues
Confident and willing to give starting prices of the services before a repair is started and also confident in your ability to upsell support plans and packages after a fix
*At least one certification that demonstrates an indepth working knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting on multiple devices and operating systems
Willingness to learn new things always and be open to new approaches
Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm and professional in all circumstances
Quickly identify problems form solutions and execute stepbystep troubleshooting procedures
Working knowledge of PC and Mac operating systems ChromeOS all brands of printers and a broad range of peripherals and popular software apps
*Linux knowledge is a plus
