Our client a global law firm is consistently among the top firms on the Am Law Global the Associate will have the opportunity to work with clients large and small from a variety of industries across the country The firm is seeking an IP associate to join its dynamic Intellectual Property group which has experienced unprecedented growth over the past year 
 
Experience
The ideal candidate will have three () to eight () years of relevant experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications evaluating patent portfolios and performing due diligence investigations The position is location flexible and we are open to considering candidates in various GT offices
Requirements
- Registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office
- A PhD in Biology Molecular Biology Cell Biology Biochemistry Immunology or a related discipline is required  
- Experience in a law firm is desirable 
- Candidates must have excellent academic credentials as well as outstanding organizational and communication skills (written and oral)
- Candidates should possess leadership skills be comfortable working directly with clients and work well with others

Ability to work collaboratively and as a member of a team with internal and external contacts. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and situations. Proven willingness to work hard in a fast-paced atmosphere. Experience with use of document/discovery databases (e.g. Relativity). EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING Must be a graduate of an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the State of Michigan or ability to obtain admission upon commencement of employment.
