Job Description

Quality Manager

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Operations

Job Summary:

Mfg firm 20 miles north of Minneapolis in Andover seeks a QM. As a Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and leading a team of quality inspectors. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues
  • Lead and mentor a team of quality inspectors
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Conduct audits to evaluate supplier quality and performance
  • Participate in the development of new products and processes, ensuring quality requirements are met
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality control processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the Machinery industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles and practices
  • Experience with quality management systems and tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
