Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Demand Planner to support a global cosmetics company in Los Angeles, CA.
This is an onsite contract role open to local candidates.
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
This role forecast demand for core products, promotions, and new arrivals, proactively managing risks and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast future demand for our core items, promotions, seasonal products and new arrivals.
- Identify and analyze demand forecast risks, and develop effective mitigation plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction
- Stay ahead of the curve by regularly planning and updating forecasts for new products, seasonal items, discounts, promotions & new regions
- Make recommended adjustments to the sales forecasts and inventory targets, based on changes in demand and market trends
- Investigate and address significant discrepancies between sales and forecasts
- Collaborate with internal teams to review sales and forecasts in comparison to established business plans
Requirements
Education:
- HS diploma or equivalent (required)
- Degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Required:
- 3+ years of demand planning experience
- Experience with inventory management and forecasting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Word

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22 to $24. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. Employees may be eligible to participate in company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal, and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
