We are seeking a Sales Demand Planner to support a global cosmetics company in Los Angeles, CA.
This is an onsite contract role open to local candidates.
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary:
This role forecast demand for core products, promotions, and new arrivals, proactively managing risks and optimizing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast future demand for our core items, promotions, seasonal products and new arrivals.
- Identify and analyze demand forecast risks, and develop effective mitigation plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction
- Stay ahead of the curve by regularly planning and updating forecasts for new products, seasonal items, discounts, promotions & new regions
- Make recommended adjustments to the sales forecasts and inventory targets, based on changes in demand and market trends
- Investigate and address significant discrepancies between sales and forecasts
- Collaborate with internal teams to review sales and forecasts in comparison to established business plans
Requirements
Education:
- HS diploma or equivalent (required)
- Degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Required:
- 3+ years of demand planning experience
- Experience with inventory management and forecasting
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
Benefits
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $22 to $24. This range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
