Job Description
As a Senior Accountant specializing in Financial Reporting through The Agency, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and disclosures. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.
- Managing and coordinating the external audit process, including interactions with auditors.
- Conducting research on complex accounting matters and ensuring compliance with emerging accounting standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and support the reporting process.
- Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts and financial transactions.
- Assisting with the preparation of SEC filings and shareholder communications.
- Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.
- Identifying process improvements and enhancing financial reporting procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification.
- 3+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
