PLC Technician

pAt The Wise Seeker we are looking for a PLC Technician to work with one of our clients in the US a leading sweet snacks company that makes markets and distributesppThe PLC Technician will maintain modify and troubleshoot factory control systems from various suppliers to improve and maximize reliabilityefficiency Develop and maintain key systems to ensure we have a sustainablehighly efficient controls group in place Foster learning within the Engineering department and support trainingcontinuing educationphTaskshulliProvide troubleshooting and repair of Control systems to minimize production downtimeliliDemonstrate proficiency in safe behavior and adherence to all Hostess Brands health and safety policies and proceduresliliExecute planned work orders including special projects improvements and installationsliliDevelop and maintain electrical controls documentationliliWork with Engineering Controls Manager to maintain Electrical Engineering Compliance in line with Hostess StandardsliliMaintain factory software including PLCDevice level firmware revisionsliliRecommend and initiate cost saving methods for optimal equipment performance Proactively perform electrical repairs as required and recommend mechanical repairsliulhRequirementshulliStrong engineering and technical skills including PLC Electrical and Mechanical skillsliliStrong working knowledge of Allen Bradley control systemsliliMust possess a strong working knowledge of industrial network protocolsliliPossess the ability to conduct basic mathematical calculationsliliPossess the ability to efficiently use electrical test instrumentationliliHave good communication skills to work with plant personnel and vendorsliliGood analytical and problemsolving abilities are a mustliliUnderstanding of Continuous improvement methodsliliMinimum of years experience in a PLC technician role in an industrial environment or equivalent technical degreeliulhBenefitshulliAnnual cost of living increase merit increaseliliShift pm amliliSalary USD $ $ hrliul
