- Evaluating nurse and medical staff performance
- Maintaining and restoring the health of their patients
- Managing daily treatment schedules
- Enforcing health and safety regulations
- Solving staffing issues and shortages
- Evaluating and adjusting treatment plans based on patient condition
- Ensuring their unit meets federal, state and company guidelines
- Completing admission and discharge forms
- Delivering hands-on care and medication administration as needed
- Communicating procedural issues with the director of nursing and working to correct them
- Acting as a liaison between patients families and healthcare staff
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
- Managing hospital equipment inventory
Requirements
- Must hold valid State RN License
- 3 years Long Term Care Experience preferred
- 2 years Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills

Sub Acute Unit Experience in an LTC facility preferred. PCC knowledge highly preferred. Should work well in a team environment. Current New York State RN License.
