Horizon Controls Group are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation & Controls Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector. The candidate will help to bolster production lines and improve overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Automation and Control Systems engineer with a specialized background in iFix Historian, Allen Bradley PanelView s, and Allen Bradley PLCs
Key Responsibilities:
System Expertise: Offer expertise in iFix Historian, Allen Bradley PanelView s, MicroLogix, ControlLogix, and FactoryTalk server systems to support our pharmaceutical production line.
Real-Time Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnose and rectify system issues on the pharmaceutical production line, ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards and minimizing downtime.
Change Management: Skilfully navigate change management strategies, ensuring any alterations to the automation system are compliant, documented, and aligned with both operational and regulatory requirements.
Code Modifications and Testing: Implement necessary PLC and HMI code adjustments. Validate changes to ensure they meet the precise standards required in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Filling Line Focus: Prioritize and ensure seamless integration and functionality of automation solutions specific to pharmaceutical filling lines.
Collaboration: Work synergistically with interdisciplinary teams, including IT, production, quality assurance, and maintenance, to enhance system reliability and compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend technological advancements or upgrades that can elevate efficiency, compliance, or system robustness in a pharmaceutical setting.
Documentation: Uphold rigorous documentation practices for system configurations, changes, troubleshooting steps, and validations in line with pharmaceutical industry standards.
Training: Educate on-site personnel to guarantee they possess the requisite knowledge to effectively operate and troubleshoot systems, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6 years, hands-on experience in iFix Historian, Allen Bradley PanelView s, and Allen Bradley PLCs (MicroLogix or ControlLogix).
Solid background in real-time troubleshooting of automation systems within the pharmaceutical sector.
Strong Experience with iFix Historian.
Familiarity with FactoryTalk server systems.
Demonstrable experience in navigating change management strategies and ensuring compliance.
Proficiency in PLC and HMI code modifications and rigorous testing methodologies.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
