Job Description

A hospital located South of Gilroy, CA is looking for a Supervisor of Infection Prevention to join their team. Great pay, benefits, and culture! Details are below. Supervisor of Infection Prevention Pay: $124,800.00-$165,000.00

Supervisor of Infection Prevention Opportunity:

  • Full-time, direct-hire position
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • The Supervisor of Infection Prevention will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • The Supervisor of Infection Prevention will collaborate with all facility personnel, Medical Staff, and others who work on behalf of this organization, and utilize appropriate epidemiological methods to increase the likelihood of achieving desired infection prevention outcomes.
  • Duties will include coordinating infection surveillance, education, administrative, and control measures to assure that the transmission risks and complications of infections and infectious diseases are minimized to facility clients, personnel, and visitors.


Supervisor of Infection Prevention Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Epidemiology, Microbiology, Public Health, Nursing, or related field, required. Master s Degree preferred.
  • Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) will be considered.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist license if applicable.
  • Current Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) highly preferred.
  • Experience: Recent 3+ years of experience in infection prevention and control in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of microbiology, laboratory procedures, aseptic technique and epidemiological techniques.

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred. One-year of acute care experience preferred.
