10 Points is urgently looking to hire Special Education Teachers to join our dedicated team at our school sites in Chicago Heights IL the fall of 2023-24. This is a full-time position. We are currently conducting interviews.

- Age group: Elementary
- Caseload: 10 (students approx. for case management)
- 1 full time SPED (7+hrs/day)
Requirements
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- Active LBS1 license or relevant special education teacher license in IL
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree is required, with preferred classroom experience.
- 1+ years of experience working as a special education teacher.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, your main responsibilities will include
- Planning curriculum, lessons, and special education programs using effective teaching methods.
- Maintaining regular contact with parents and involving them in their childs educational progress.
- Ensuring the classroom environment is well-organized and conducive to learning.
- Instructing individuals and groups in various special education skill areas.
- Modifying curriculum according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting testing evaluations.
