Our client a growing investment firm located in Oakland is looking to add a dynamic Asset Manager to the team. This is a fulltime onsite posiotion.
The role: We are looking for someone who excels at developing and implementing strategies to increase the value of the properties in the portfolio, such as through renovations or by finding new tenants or uses for the properties. The Asset Manager will be responsible for financial and operational oversight of the company’s real estate portfolio. The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a solid asset and property management background. You be able to interpret, analyze, and explain financial information about the assets to the leadership team. Responsibilities:
Preparation of asset management strategies and business plans for potential investments
Ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of all strategic decisions
Providing portfolio reporting and financial analysis to justify asset strategy.
Compliance with all regulatory matters in conjunction with internal compliance and external advisers
Prepare and submit assigned reporting to management and investors.
Review property inspection reports
Develop and maintain high level relationships with third party management companies.
Ensure the oversight and implementation of the property business plan and budget.
Review monthly operating statements (NOI, occupancy, collections, surplus cash, and others) and identify areas of opportunity or concern for the Asset Management team to focus on, including both income and expense items based on budget variances and previously unknown opportunities.
Accountable for all insurance compliance for all deals to ensure portfolio is fully covered.
Ensure that all assets are in compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
Maximize property level cash flow across portfolio.
Evaluate and implement changes for property improvements based on thorough analysis and experience.
Develop and monitor strategies to maximize asset values within the portfolio.
Negotiate major vendor contracts and pursue portfolio wide expense reductions through vendor bidding.
Problem solve property and portfolio level issues through research, analysis, and implementation.
Oversee preparation for regulatory inspections.
Ensure proper capital spending and maintenance across the portfolio.
Assist in conducting due diligence and financial modeling for new acquisitions, dispositions, and refinances.

What you should bring
Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management and property management
Bachelor's Degree preferably in real estate, finance, business, or accounting
Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail including an editing eye, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong negotiating skills with the ability to navigate nuanced and complex investment scenarios.
Ability to function both in a collaborative setting, and independently.
Strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, entrepreneurship, and team player
