Job Description:
- Apex Housing provides drug and alcohol related counseling and mental health support. We are seeking a part-time licensed therapist with a focus or background in substance abuse and mental health counseling.
Duties Responsibilities for the LMHC, LCSW, LMFT include:
- The Therapist will counsel patients and their families with alcohol and drug dependency and mental health diagnosis.
- Serve as a resource for addiction, intervention skills, psycho-social problems and community resources.
- This position will perform counseling, crisis intervention for 8-13 adults in a recovery home setting.
- Complete treatment team meetings, treatment plan development and reviews, biopsychosocial, and in-depth assessments, and progress notes.
- Provide individual therapy, with a possibility for group therapy
- Work closely with behavioral health techs/substance abuse techs, psychiatrist/physician, and program director as a part of our multidisciplinary team.
- Be able to Baker Act, or Marchman Act as needed.
Location and Schedule:
- Flexible schedule, depending on client availability. Opportunity for telehealth and in person visits on site.

- Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- - Florida license in accordance with Chapter 491 *required.
- - A minimum of 1 year in substance abuse
- - Knowledgeable of community resources available for patients and families.
- - Demonstrates working knowledge of theories and techniques of counseling and psychopathology from a trauma-informed care perspective.
