Family services nonprofit hiring for a hands on Controller to lead accounting and finance operations. Organization has serviced the great Monterey County for over 30 years. Position would report to the CEO and Board. This is a fully in office postion. Salary range is 115-135k DOE along with comprehensive benefits and retirement offerings.
Position Summary: - Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for the Finance Committee and report monthly on the prior month’s financials statements.
- Report to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee monthly on the fiscal health of the Organization.
- Develop budgets that meet the requirements of all programs and operations.
- Create reports and work directly with CEO to evaluate internal reporting systems.
- Create and execute a plan to improve the management of financial statements and annual financial audit.
- Lead audit and internal control processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, required
- CPA certification highly preferred
- Applicant will demonstrate an extensive understanding of GAAP
- A strong background In nonprofit management highly preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management.
- In-depth knowledge of QuickBooks, accounting software, corporate principles, and financial analysis.
