Job Description

Lovibond, based in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Sales Manager-Industrial Waterto become part of the Lovibond team and help us in our commitment to achieve overall company goals in terms of revenue and profitability, image, reputation, and customer service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, leadership, and influence skills to not only communicate our value proposition to end users, but to also manage key accounts and a team of third-party distribution partners. Lastly, the Sales Manager must have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong competitive drive!

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Manager-Industrial Water is responsible for delivering the overall sales growth associated with the Lovibond bench-top and hand-held instruments as well as consumables associated to the Industrial Water Market. The position will be a hybrid role with responsibility for direct selling, key account management and management of our third-party distribution channel. The Sales Manager shall have demonstrated experience in all three areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Personally, or through other company resources, develop the technical depth in product and application knowledge as it applies to all Lovibond Products
  • Manage, train, and perform joint sales calls with third party distributors (sales channel) to ensure Lovibond products are a focus, diligently measure channel performance, and look for opportunities to collaborate/align across brands.
  • Foster customer intimacy through direct sales calls, virtually as well as in-person.
  • Demonstrated direct selling success.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow long term Key Account Relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term strategic relationships with third party distribution partners focusing on Industrial Water Treatment Products.
  • Diligently manage the project funnel using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (Zoho) to coordinate, prioritize and dedicate resources to projects.
  • Capable of prioritizing (Pareto) opportunities based on factors such as customer relationship, size ($), sales stage (budget, bid, post-bid negotiations, etc.), and potential margin.
  • Work with distribution channel and customers to identify key regional regulatory, applications, and product drivers and effectively communicate market needs to Lovibond leadership
  • Ability to collect and communicate information regarding market trends,regulatory trends, new application opportunities and new product opportunities from the field to the leadership team (Voice of Field)
  • Drive a culture that is highly responsive to both internal and external customers and which provides accurate, comprehensive, and timely information.
  • Lead/coordinate with team members in various geographic locations over whom there is not a direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to collaborate and negotiate internally and externally to meet business goals.


Requirements

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • BS/BA Degree or Equivalent Experience (5 years of sales/sales management experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a technical sales role; specifically working with distribution and end-users, technically and commercially
  • Demonstrated successful sales experience with sales budget/region responsibility with both direct and indirect sales and sales management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the sales process including prospecting, qualification, fulfillment, and after sale follow-up.
  • Strong business acumen including deep knowledge customer s sales cycle and critical points of impact with distributors, consultants, and end-users.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (ZOHO or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with intrinsic drive to work independently, with balanced guidance from sales director and leadership team.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, influence and negotiating skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent task management & organization skills.
  • Demonstrated strong time and territory management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple formats.
