Job Description

As a Corrosion Technician in the Midstream Oil and Gas industry, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our pipeline and facility assets by implementing corrosion control measures. Your responsibilities will involve the monitoring, inspection, and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure to prevent and mitigate corrosion-related issues. By leveraging your technical expertise, you will help us ensure the integrity and longevity of our midstream assets while adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and corrosion surveys of pipelines, tanks, and related equipment.
  • Perform cathodic protection system tests, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Collect and analyze data related to corrosion rates and environmental factors.
  • Implement corrosion mitigation strategies and recommend appropriate materials and coatings.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop corrosion control plans.
  • Document inspection findings, maintenance activities, and corrosion control measures.
  • Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in corrosion technology or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Corrosion Technician in the midstream oil and gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms, prevention, and control techniques.
  • Proficiency in using corrosion monitoring equipment and tools.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols in industrial operations.
  • Ability to work outdoors, in varying weather, and conduct field inspections.
