Job Description

Actively seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide essential support to our government customers in Annapolis Junction, MD. As an ISSO with us, youll play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of information systems, helping to safeguard sensitive data and operations.

Requirements

Clearance: Top Secret SCI Full Scope Polygraph Required



Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Apply system security engineering expertise across various domains, including system security design, engineering life cycle, information security, cross-domain solutions, cryptography, identification, authentication, authorization, system integration, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, certification and accreditation, and security testing.


  • Design, develop, implement, and integrate information assurance (IA) and security systems and components for networking, computing, and enclave environments, accommodating various data protection and classification requirements.


  • Incorporate IA measures into systems deployed in operational environments, collaborating with architects and developers to ensure consistent adherence to security policies and enterprise solutions.


  • Contribute to the establishment of security architectures and enforce trusted relations among external systems and architectures.


  • Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.


  • Participate in security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.


  • Review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation, providing feedback on completeness and compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor s degree and 5+ years or Master s and 3+ years of related experience Strong problem-solving, systems analysis, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong foundation in applying data management domains with the ability to communicate data management concepts and best practices to data engineers, data architects, and data stewards, to support implementing a data management framework. Understanding of related technologies (e.g., relational and non-relational databases, cloud platforms, data catalogs, data modeling, ETL, SQL, and Python). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tool suites Data Management life cycle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Databricks, BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.) Ability to work collaboratively and independently Ability to learn technologies proactively and quickly and solve problems Strong attention to detail, oral and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Top Secret / SCI clearance required DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with the U.S. government on areas concerning national security. Experience supporting Cloud Technologies, Data Engineering/Data Science knowledge, Cloud technologies, Analytic Tools
