We are currently seeking aqualified Principal Systems Software Engineer to use a wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the software field to develop, integrate, and test software products for the F-35 Program. This Software Engineer will be focusing on the Fire and Control Stores (FCS). This is an onsite role in Fort Worth, TX and requires US Citizenship. All candidates must live near Fort Worth, TX or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities
- Deliver in areas covering technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system architecture and software design and implementation, and HW/SW integration and flight test.
- Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.

Requirements
- 15 plus Experience performing embedded software development using C++ on an Aerospace, Defense, or regulated industry program.
- Experience with mission critical software design, including the principles of requirements management and decomposition in a regulated environment.
- Experience developing in Agile Scrum environments, as well as programming within DevOps frameworks.
- Applied knowledge of Jira and Bit Bucket or similar Git repository.
- Applied knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 or ARINC 429, or experience with data bus development and messaging architectures.
- Develop empirical models and perform systems analysis to drive design decisions.
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability, and analyses for total systems.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain status.

Demonstrated experience generating technical documentation such as requirements, specifications, engineering reports, plans & procedures. Demonstrated experience in product development. Experience in embedded devices design, development, verification, and documentation. Experience with development in a regulated defense industry. Experience with simulation tools such as Simulink and Stateflow. Experience with Data Links and Comms, modular Open Mission Systems architectures, integrated development environment including debugger tools, networking, RTOS and PC development, embedded systems integration, requirements generation, and systems interface development is highly desired. In addition, recent work experience with embedded architectures, single board computers, and hardware and software in the loop implementation and testing is a plus. Experience with automated testing solutions (e.g., Parasoft) for static analysis, code coverage, and similar functions.
