The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer is responsible for driving Operational Excellence & Lean Principles throughout all areas of the organization. This person will coach, lead, facilitate and mentor continuous improvement projects that align with our strategic plan and support our Mission. They will also be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for operational improvements, training and safety to improve the outcomes of operational processes to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions:
- Identify and champion the Continuous Improvement initiatives for our Company
- Lead the Job Methods program including review, document and follow through
- Responsible for promoting a safety culture, leading our Safety Committee to ensure effective review of Company safety needs.
- Ensuring organization is OSHA compliant, including mandatory training requirements and interacting with OSHA Auditors and/or Consultants.
- Follow through on proper corrective actions for near misses and accidents.
- Develop, conduct, & manage operationally focused training sessions as required to support our growth and business plans as well as meet accreditation, industry, and/or regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate the planning, scheduling and running of lean and 4DX improvement teams
- Champion the use of Lean techniques and concepts throughout the organization.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree with 2 years prior relevant experience or an Associate Degree with 5 years relevant experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
- Lean Manufacturing Certifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Training Within Industry or on-the-job skills training experience
- IQMS- ERP System
Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility at this time
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Exempt, full-time.
Travel: Limited travel is expected for this position.
